Hagley Museum and Library seeks to inspire all people to be innovative in their own lives through investigation and exploration – help us keep the innovation flowing in 2025.
Each year in the United States, it is estimated that 1 BILLION birds die due to impact with glass. Often birds see glass either as reflective or invisible. If the glass is visibly interrupted from the bird’s perspective, it will reduce the likelihood of in-flight collision with glass.
Help Hagley Museum and Library save our birds!
Take advantage of a DoMore24 challenge grant to help Hagley protect our feathered friends! A donor has stepped up to help Hagley raise $5,000 for bird strike protection by matching each dollar donated up to a total of $2,500.
Hagley, which encompasses 235 acres along the Brandywine River, is focused on making its historic property more bird-safe to significantly reduce accidental deaths. Delaware is home to more than 400 species of birds, many of which call Hagley home at least part of the year. Help us in our quest to be the best stewards of our wildlife.
Through DoMore24 donations, Hagley will install bird-strike protection on our Library’s Reading Room windows, a place where we’ve noted bird strikes. Using a professional-grade product costing approximately $5,000 we are working to save our feathered friends. Your gift also gives us momentum to target bird strike prevention on a larger scale in the future for other Hagley buildings.
Will you help Hagley reduce the number of avian fatalities with your generous contribution? Please give now.
