I’m Jen Silvera.

I’m fundraising for Black Mothers In Power.

We’re thrilled to be participating in Do More 24 Delaware, a 24-hour fundraising event that will help us continue our important work supporting Black mothers and families. From March 6th at 6pm to March 7th at 6pm, we’ll be raising $5,000 to expand our programs and provide critical resources for Black mothers.

About Black Mothers In Power

Mission: Black Mothers in Power seeks to eradicate racial health disparities for Black birthing people and Black babies throughout Delaware.

At BMIP we see the word “Mother” as an all encompassing term. Mothers are not confined to a gender, or those who have given or can give physiological birth. Mothers of all shapes, sizes, genders, and ways of “birthing” are welcome here. Not all who give birth in the physical are mothers or have children. We recognize the nuance and privilege of being a Mother on this plane of existence could never be defined in the narrow view of physiological birth. So whether you are a Drag Mother, Earth Mother, or Mother of Dragons. BMIP sees you.

Vision

Black Mothers in Power envisions a state where all Black birthing people are informed about their birthing rights, have autonomy over their reproductive decisions, and are treated equitably in the healthcare system. Learn more at www.blackmothersinpower.org.
