Organization Mission:

Redemption City seeks to help people experiencing homelessness find shelter while providing comprehensive and holistic care. We are rooted in a deep conviction that every human being has incredible value, worth and dignity. We want to help restore that dignity. We strive to impart skills so they may thrive in life rather than simply housing and turning them back out to repeat the cycle.

 This year, Do More 24 looks a little different for us… because Redemption City has grown.
 
 We now operate:
Two full-time shelters - The Lighthouse and The Sunshine House
A day center serving the community daily - The North Star Navigation Center
A nighttime winter shelter running through March - North Star Nights

In the past few years, Redemption City has walked alongside dozens of men and women as they moved from homelessness into stable housing, employment, reunification with family, or supportive care. Through our two shelters, day center, and seasonal night shelter, we have also helped prevent countless others from falling deeper into crisis by providing immediate safety, case management, and connections to vital community resources.
We believe that with structure, accountability, and genuine support, transformation is possible. Our team and volunteers work daily to provide not just a bed and a meal, but guidance, encouragement, and a clear path toward independence.

We are serving more people than ever before.
 Utilities, food, staffing, and supplies have increased with our expansion.
 Winter shelter operations add additional overnight staffing and resources.
 The need continues to grow — and so must we.

This is a 24-hour opportunity to strengthen all three programs at once — keeping people warm, dry, supported, and moving toward independence.
