I’m Lola Latan.

I’m fundraising for TeenSHARP, Inc..

Founded in 2009, TeenSHARP is a unique learning community for Black, Latino, and low-income students that uses competitive college admissions as a lever to change the landscape of American leadership. Students can join TeenSHARP as early as the summer before ninth grade, receiving support on the path to college, through college, and into the workforce.

TeenSHARP helped me navigate the college admissions process, develop leadership, and enhance my critical thinking skills. As a TeenSHARP alumni, I want future students to have the same support that I had. Help me pay it forward as we fight for diversity, equity, and inclusion!

About TeenSHARP, Inc.

Mission: Building a diverse pipeline of leaders, one top college admission at a time

Founded in 2009, TeenSHARP is a dynamic learning community that empowers Black, Latino, and low-income students across the Delaware Valley. By using top college admissions as a catalyst for change, we are reshaping the landscape of leadership in America.

What started with just 10 students in a church basement has grown into a movement, reaching hundreds of students through our transformative virtual programs. Over the past 16 years, more than 700 TeenSHARP scholars have gained admission to top institutions like Yale, MIT, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, Penn, Vanderbilt, Macalester, Pomona, Northeastern, and Swarthmore.

Our impact goes beyond college acceptance—TeenSHARP alumni graduate on time, with minimal debt. Nearly all complete college within four years (all within six), and on average, they leave with $15,000 or less in student loans—a fraction of the national average.

At TeenSHARP, we don’t just help students get in—we prepare them to lead and thrive.
