Milford Community Band

Organization Mission:

Southern Delaware's "Premier Music Organization"

Your support of the Milford Community Band helps to "Keep Live Music Alive" in Central and Southern Delaware.  This year, MCB is specifically raising funds to purchase their own equipment trailer, which will make traveling to various performance venues easier and more cost efficient over time.  Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!
About Milford Community Band

The Milford Community Band enables instrumentalists, from high school students to senior citizens, to serve the local community through the performance of live concerts.

In addition to the MCB, which is a concert band of 45-50 members, there are several independent ensembles - The Smooth Sound Big Band, the Downtown Dixieland Band, the Mid-Del Sax Quartet, and from mid-November until Christmas Eve, the Christmas Carol Band. We have about 70 members, total and play more than 25 free concerts per year.

This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.

Click here to listen to a brief excerpt of the Milford Community Band playing their signature piece, "Celebration & Tribute", composed by James Swearingen for the band's 25th anniversary  in 2015.
