The Newark Community Band has been in existence for over 40 years and is open to any resident of Newark and the surrounding area who wish to participate.  Our members range in age from 15 to 85.  The Band requires no dues, fees or audition for participation, only the desire to work together with other amateur and some professional musicians toward a common musical goal. 

We fulfill our goal of supporting the community by providing free (no admission fee) concerts.  For example we are the first kick off concert of the summer series in White Clay Creek State Park as well as first in DE City in early August.  Our band also plays at Little Sisters of the Poor and similar facilities.

With the onset of Covid, our band lost access to our free rehearsal space and is now required to rent space at a significant cost.  Our only means of financial support is by way of charitable contributions received from members and our loyal fan base.

Please help us keep the band accessible to all and contribute during Do More 24 Delaware.
