Weston Senior Center “Let’s Get in Line-Paving the Way to Fun at the Senior Center!”
Organization Mission:
The mission of the center is to support the independence and well-being of older adults to enhance their dignity and self-respect and promote their participation in all aspects of the community.
The Howard J. Weston Community & Senior Center, Inc. was established in 1978
with a mission of providing a better quality of life for the senior population of Delaware
and surrounding states. Our senior center is open five days a week and provides a
variety of activities, programs and services including a full noon-time meal. Observing a need to provide a secure setting for those who could no
longer safely remain in their homes during the day when their family and/or caregivers
are working, we opened a State-licensed Adult Day Care Center in 2005 serving those
with dementia, Alzheimer’s, etc.
Our mission is to provide an environment that acknowledges the changing needs
and interests of the senior population in our community and provide resources and
activities to meet those needs. We continually look for creative programming,
providing participants with the opportunity to explore physical and mental health,
nutrition, recreational and educational activities. We strive to create a safe and
welcoming facility that allows older adults to socialize and try new interests.
without regard to race, color, sexual orientation, handicap or national origin. All
members and guests participating in activities and programs offered by the center must
be able to take care of their personal care needs and make independent decisions.
There are no annual membership fees or dues required to be a member of our center.
