Delaware Dance Company has been a fixture in the greater Newark area arts community for over four decades. In addition to offering top quality dance education through academic year classes and summer programs, DDC has presented an annual "Nutcracker" ballet every year since 1984.  In the spring, DDC presents a second production, either a mixed repertoire dance concert or a story-based dance feature. When possible, local school groups are invited to see these productions free of charge. 

DDC offers tuition assistance to families with demonstrated need so that all children who desire a dance eduction can enroll in classes.  A  program to offer free and reduced tuition classes for boys was initiated to increase the gender diversity at the school.  Recently we added "Adaptive Dance Classes" thoughtfully developed with special attention given to differently abled individuals.   Advancing inclusivity these classes aim at, not only enhancing the lives of participants but also enriching the broader dance community.
