Read Aloud Delaware
Organization Mission:
Our mission is to create a life-long impact through early childhood literacy.
About Read Aloud Delaware
Our vision is that children across Delaware will have the foundational literacy skills to succeed in school and life. A child's vocabulary at the age of 3 is a strong predictor of their reading skills in the 3rd grade, which in turn is a strong predictor of if the child will graduate high school. Therefore, a child's vocabulary at the age of 3 is a strong predictor of if they will graduate high school. At Read Aloud Delaware, we have hundreds of volunteers throughout the state reading individually to children ages 1-5 to establish a good literacy foundation for all children. Will you help us provide a strong literacy foundation for even more children regardless of their zip code or socioeconomic background?
