A fundraiser for SODELO (Southern Delaware Orchestra)

I’m Domi Sanchez.

I’m fundraising for SODELO (Southern Delaware Orchestra).

Mission:  SODELO is a community of more than forty string musicians where musicians learn, play, and perform classical music.  With its free concerts, SODELO serves the southern Delaware community by bringing string orchestra music to music lovers across the region.

To continue our efforts, we need your donations to help pay for venue and rehearsal space, purchase music, reimbursement of expenses for our music director and soloists, for advertising, and to maintain and develop our website and social media.

Come hear us at our next Spring concert on March 19th at 3pm in the Rehoboth Convention Center
The concert is free, but donations are gladly accepted.

As new bass player, SODELO has been very welcoming and supportive of my musical journey - from zero to performing classical music!  If you are interested in playing a stringed instrument,  I invite you to see what we are about.  Visit our website (www.SODELOmusic.org) for more information.

About SODELO (Southern Delaware Orchestra)

Mission: SODELO is an orchestral community of over 60 musicians from Southern Delaware providing a welcoming environment where we can learn, play, and perform orchestral music for the community to enhance the richness of the cultural environment. Our musicians include medical professionals, teachers, high school students, attorneys, pastors, and retirees. We are excited to share our music with our neighbors!

The Southern Delaware Orchestra (SODELO) has been recognized as a bright new musical voice in Southern Delaware, and we need your help to do even more for the community in the coming year.

We held our first rehearsal in May of 2022 and grew from a string ensemble of 32 players to a full orchestra of 65 musicians, with winds, brass, and percussion, in just nineteen months.
We are so proud to continue to grow in numbers and musicianship, making music and building friendships within the orchestra and in the community. From Wilmington’s Grand Opera House to Epworth UMC in Rehoboth, we play sold-out concerts for enthusiastic audiences who respond with standing ovations and "Encore" requests.

For 2024, we have plans to play more than five concerts in locations across Sussex County and to reach into the community with fun and educational programs. We want to DO MORE for you and we need your help and support.

We want to spread the love for orchestral music across Sussex County.  Please help make sure that we can bring you much more music in the future!
