This year, all proceeds raised during Do More 24 will go to The High School Scholarship Program (formerly The Lee Mitchell Scholarship). This scholarship fund is for upcoming High School Juniors and Seniors which includes membership to the Southern Delaware Chorale, music and $1000 towards private voice lessons with a qualified voice teacher.
About the Award
Along with funding for each to receive private lessons to further their vocal skill, recipients enjoy the opportunity to perform as a member of the Chorale during weekly rehearsals and concert performances, employing the skills learned through lessons the scholarship provides. For at least one performance, each Scholar performs a solo.
Hannah Wolk, who was the sole Lee Mitchell Scholar in 2018, reflected on the experience saying, “Joining the Southern Delaware Chorale and being a Lee Mitchell scholar was a pivotal moment in my musical development. The experience challenged me to hone my vocal technique, embrace intricate harmonies, and work closely with others to create a unified sound”.
About the High School Scholarship Program
The Lee Mitchell Scholarship was established in 1999 through an endowment from the family of pianist and composer, Lee Mitchell, in his memory. It aims to encourage talented high school singers to participate in community choral singing.

If awarded, the students will receive free membership, music and $1000 in private voice lessons from a qualified voice instructor. They will perform a solo in one or more of the organization's concerts.
