St Pat’s directly addresses basic human needs for food, clothing, and provides services for seniors and the homeless. Distributing free groceries alleviates hunger and enables families to spend limited resources on other needs. One in six children in Delaware are food insecure. Increased availability of resources alleviates household stress that affects childhood development. We directly address poverty and inequality by distributing resources and connecting individuals to additional resources. We aim to reduce poverty by better enabling individuals to overcome barriers to stability.
