Raising the Roof of Sunset Bridge Corporation! Do More 24 Delaware 2026
Organization Mission:
To provide a peaceful retreat where terminally ill adults (18 yrs & older) and their loved ones temporarily come together at no cost to determine end-of-life next steps.
End of life is challenging for everyone involved. Our goal at Sunset Bridge Corporation (SBC) is to serve those in need during this challenging time. Please help us continue to serve those in need, particularly those who may be alone or part of underserved populations.
We have a $25,000 challenge grant to build 'Anita’s Kitchen' at our future SBC retreat home; help us fulfill our dream!
Please join us!
We provide virtual supportive care to not only end-of-life individuals, but also their loved ones (free of charge). We listen, talk through options for available services, assist with difficult discussions, and strive to identify/acquire help for all involved. We seek to provide peace, comfort, and renewed strength. We are the bridge to the sunset of life.
Taking our work a step further, SBC is building a retreat home, where everyone can come together under one roof, free of charge, for 1-2 weeks. During this time, we plan to offer on-site supportive care, home-cooked meals, and the gift of time together, to find solace, renewed strength, and nourishment for body and soul.
Thank you for your support during this DoMore24De fundraising event and throughout the year! We appreciate your generosity and commitment to our mission.
About Sunset Bridge Corporation
Our Vision: To normalize the end-of-life experience to be kinder and more peaceful for all.
Sunset Bridge Corporation (SBC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, dedicated to creating a compassionate haven for families navigating the complexities of end-of-life care. Although our retreat home is not yet operational, SBC is already fulfilling its mission by providing free consultative services and envisioning a future where terminally ill individuals and their loved ones can come together in a peaceful setting to make critical decisions. See our proposed retreat home schematic below.
Proposed SBC Retreat Home to be located at 31613 Charleys Run, Bethany Beach, DE 19930
At our SBC retreat home, loved ones will be surrounded by love, kindness, serenity, and comfort, during one of the most precious, yet stressful times of need. At no expense to the caregiving unit, SBC will provide a home-like setting including overnight lodging for 1 to 2 weeks, daily meals and supportive care, free of charge. During that time, loved ones will spend time together, receive educational support, materials and useful tools, as well as engage in open dialog. This will help everyone to understand various options in a supportive environment and to reach critical decisions within a peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, SBC will offer the opportunity for the caregiving unit to return on-site for a respite stay, free of charge, after the passing of their loved one.
