To provide a peaceful retreat where terminally ill adults (18 yrs & older) and caregivers temporarily come together at no cost to determine end-of-life next steps.
Your help is needed to realize the vision of Sunset Bridge Corporation (SBC): to provide rest and supportive care for not only end-of-life individuals (guests), but also caregivers and loved ones to be co-located together under one roof in a home-like, peaceful, and tranquil setting.
SBC will provide the opportunity for everyone to come together to have those challenging discussions, tackle those difficult decisions, enjoy home-cooked meals, receive help/services, and enjoy the beauty of the water, sunrise/sunset, nature, and most importantly each other. We are offering 1-2 weeks on-site supportive care, free of charge for end-of-life individuals (of all ages, particularly those from underserved populations) along with their loved ones/caregivers to receive the gift of time together, while having the opportunity to find solace, renewed strength, and nourishment for their body and soul.
In addition, given that our mission emphasizes supportive care and comfort, SBC will provide a week free of charge to the caregivers/loved ones to rejoin on-site at our facility for personal respite and closure of their journey upon the passing of their end-of-life loved one.
About Sunset Bridge Corporation
Mission: To provide a peaceful retreat where terminally ill adults (18 yrs & older) and caregivers temporarily come together at no cost to determine end-of-life next steps.
Our Vision: To normalize the end-of-life experience
SBC challenges the traditional health care system assumptions on terminally ill care. Often as families face end-of-life decisions for loved ones, there is no quiet place where they can come together and take the time to discuss and make these important, complex decisions. SBC’s goal is to bring loved ones together under one roof fora brief time to sort out the overwhelming options for end-of-life decisions and care. At the end of the temporary stay, the patient (“guest”) and caregiving unit should have a plan and options available for the guest.
SBC will provide one location for the end-of-life individual (guest), their caregiver and loved ones to be co-located together under one roof in a home-like, peaceful, and tranquil setting.
Here in Bethany Beach, DE (close to the water), SBC will provide the opportunity for everyone to come together to have those challenging discussions, tackle those difficult decisions, enjoy home-cooked meals, receive help/services, and enjoy the beauty of the water, sunrise/sunset, nature, and most importantly each other.
Enjoying each other.
