Black Mothers in Power seeks to eradicate racial health disparities for Black birthing people and Black babies throughout Delaware.

I’m Keda Dorisca.

I’m fundraising for Black Mothers In Power.

I am raising funds because I have seen the reality behind the numbers. I have watched the women in my life—my family and my friends—fight just to be heard, seen, and protected during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
We live in an era of incredible medical innovation, yet Black women continue to face a crisis where their needs are too often disregarded and dismissed. This isn't just a medical failure; it’s a community crisis.

About Black Mothers In Power

At BMIP we see the word “Mother” as an all encompassing term. Mothers are not confined to a gender, or those who have given or can give physiological birth. Mothers of all shapes, sizes, genders, and ways of “birthing” are welcome here. Not all who give birth in the physical are mothers or have children. We recognize the nuance and privilege of being a Mother on this plane of existence could never be defined in the narrow view of physiological birth.
