More Than Fitness (MTF) is a non-profit organization founded in 2018, dedicated to promoting physical and mental wellness in underserved communities. Our mission is equipping people with the tools to build strong bodies, resilient minds, and unbreakable spirits through a variety of inclusive programs that serve individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Our Students Program is a free after-school initiative offering Olympic weightlifting, meditation, character development, and social-emotional wellness to high school students. Additionally, we offer Arena Adaptive, an inclusive program providing group fitness classes for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Arena Adaptive is home to the Arena Adaptive Amputee Soccer Team and the Arena Amputee Football Club, empowering athletes with limb loss to improve fitness and confidence through sports.

MTF also offers a variety of community programs aimed at improving both physical health and mental well-being. These include Olympic weightlifting and fitness classes for adults, with an emphasis on mindfulness practices to promote emotional wellness. We believe in the power of nature to help participants disconnect from social media, engage in character-building outdoor activities, and develop team bonding and social-emotional learning. Our programs also integrate drug and alcohol prevention education to support healthier choices and lifestyles.

Our Pool Program features a wheelchair-accessible pool, offering swim lessons, unstructured swim time, and ATOD prevention education. The program fosters a sense of community through events like family cookouts and promotes water safety and fitness.

MTF is proud to operate on an 8-acre property in NCC Park, which includes green spaces, baseball fields, a historic home, and a 3,000 sq ft gym. We are deeply committed to providing opportunities for physical and mental wellness, creating a sense of belonging, and empowering individuals to lead healthier, happier lives.
