Supporting Financial Stability, One Family at a Time

I’m George Guido.

I’m fundraising for United Way of Delaware (UWDE).

As a board member of United Way of Delaware, I am dedicated to advancing financial empowerment in our community. Financial stability is essential for achieving a better quality of life. In Delaware, nearly 30% of households live paycheck to paycheck, and 40% do not have the savings needed to cover unexpected expenses. These statistics underscore the urgent need for accessible financial education and resources.

By supporting United Way’s Financial Empowerment programs, you can help provide essential tools that enable individuals and families to manage their finances, reduce debt, and build a secure future. Every contribution during Do More 24 Delaware makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their goals.

Join me in making a lasting impact—together, we can transform lives and strengthen our community!

About United Way of Delaware (UWDE)

Mission: At United Way of Delaware, we're answering the call to help our community thrive. We're working to ensure kids can read on grade level by third grade, support career and college success for youth, connect families to vital resources through Delaware 211, and empower individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial stability. It’s about creating lasting change that lifts up everyone, not just offering temporary fixes.

When you give to United Way of Delaware you are helping children and families. Whether it's a kindergartner who lacks the resources to learn remotely, or a family calling 2-1-1 seeking immediate shelter, United Way of Delaware has initiatives in the community that make an impact in the lives of real people.
