Teen Warehouse

Organization Mission:

The mission of The Warehouse is to create a safe collaborative environment that revolutionizes Teen engagement in the city of Wilmington with the vision of developing confident, contributing and courageous young adults.

Since 2018 The Warehouse has been addressing the urgent need for youth programs that promote positive opportunities, connections to trusted adults and develop the skills needed for success in school and work.

RISE at The Warehouse | REACHing and Investing in youth for Sustainable Employment
TWH’s signature program, RISE (REACHing and Investing in youth for Sustainable Employment), provides personal development and soft skills training designed to enable youth to obtain and retain employment in any field. RISE is unique among other career training and soft skills programs in its focus on social-emotional learning, the development of restorative practices, trauma-informed care and its “Master the Basics” element which promotes respect, timeliness, and the basics of maintaining employment. Upon completion, youth are typically placed into a work-based learning experience.

About The Teen Warehouse

The Warehouse is a teen-led programming space, guided by the mantra, “For Teens, By Teens.” A cohort of teen executives sets the mission, shapes programming to meet the needs and interests of their peers, and leads outreach efforts to welcome all members of their community to the space. The chair of this teen cohort also serves as co-chair of The Warehouse Board of Directors. This teen centered approach has strengthened engagement and participation in RISE as well as the full roster of academic, recreational, and personal development programs offered to all teen members.
