Organization Mission:

Our mission is to free individuals from the cycle of crime and despair by providing holistic support after prison that generates hope, self-sufficiency, and connection to the community.

The Way Home walks with formerly incarcerated citizens each step of the way after their release from prison, and with your support you help pave this honorable path to freedom. 

Too large of a percentage of individuals are released from prison with no arrangements for shelter, ID’s, food, clothing, employment, or other support systems. For us, it’s never a matter of if these forgotten individuals will be released, but rather when and how we choose to stand by this vulnerable population. The Way Home’s success is centered on early intervention and individual attention. Each journey is unique, and the Way Home ensures that the path of transitioning back into the community is filled with hope, dignity and purpose. Our mission manifests through:

  • Case management
  • Locating temporary and permanent housing
  • Transportation
  • Clothing 
  • IDs
  • Enrollment in Medicaid, Social Security, and other social services
  • Workforce training designed to promote job stability and career building
  • Computer skills development
