Organization Mission:

Our mission is to empower at-risk youth and support families impacted by hardship by providing trauma-informed programs, life skills development, mentorship, and community-based resources that promote stability, resilience, and long-term success.

Our program Finding GEMS (Growth, Empowerment, Mentorship & Success) is built on a trauma-informed foundation and structured into four distinct phases, each designed to nurture personal growth, build resilience, and prepare participants for long-term success. Following a graduation ceremony and certificate of   completion, to celebrate their accomplishments, participants will receive 3 months of mentorship, weekly check-ins, and one-on-one coaching for continued development and to ensure a smooth transition to independence and application. Your contribution will help us provide our services FREE of charge to at-risk youth who might not otherwise have access to it.

As the ED and one of the facilitators of Finding GEMS, I have lived the experience as I was once also an at risk youth. Going through both the group home and foster care system, I know firsthand the challenges that come with such circumstances. I’ve walked in those shoes, faced the pain, and fought to overcome the obstacles before me. My journey was not easy, but has empowered and equipped me for the mission. Today, I am a living testimony that rising above adversity is possible, and I am dedicated to helping other children  see beyond their current struggles, recognize their potential, and overcome the barriers in their way, as I have done.

Our participants will have real-life experiences and activities at least once a month to correspond with the essential skills being taught, ensuring they can apply what they have learned in a meaningful way while leveraging community resources to provide comprehensive support; and ultimately changing the trajectory of their lives to a path filled with hope and opportunities.

Let’s invest in a brighter future by empowering our youth; they’re the future adults who will lead it.
About Yahweh's Hands and Feet Inc.

Finding GEMS (Growth, Empowerment, Mentorship, Success) is Yahweh’s Hands and Feet Inc.’s trauma-informed youth empowerment program serving youth ages 11–18 in Delaware.
Finding GEMS functions as a prevention + intervention pipeline, partnering with schools, families, and the community to support youth before challenges escalate into more severe disciplinary consequences. We equip youth with essential Life Skills and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) that strengthen emotional regulation, communication, healthy relationships, accountability, and responsible decision-making.

Through strong community partnerships, we also provide career exploration and readiness opportunities, including financial literacy, resume support, and mock interviews—helping youth build confidence, direction, and long-term stability.
Our goal isn’t just participation — it’s transformation.

Your donation helps expand consistent, year-round support that changes youth outcomes across Delaware.
