Every day, children with speech, language, or hearing challenges all too often get lost and excluded from their peer group. Even adults sometimes lack the skill and patience necessary to build relationships with them. When these challenges are coupled with issues related to poverty, the risks are exponentially increased. The mission of Children's Beach House is to help our children with communicative disabilities and other special needs to be successful in life; help them reach their highest potential while becoming contributing members of their families and communities.
With a focus on positive youth development, we engage youth within their communities, schools, organizations, peer groups, and families in a manner that is productive and constructive; recognize, utilize, and enhance youth's strengths; and promote positive outcomes for young people by providing opportunities, fostering positive relationships and furnishing the support needed to build on their leadership strengths.
