Organization Mission:
To build the best educational support system possible that allows every student who walks through our doors an equitable opportunity to be successful.
To fully power Summer Haven, we need to raise $15,000 before summer begins.
Give today and help Wilmington’s youth thrive this summer. Arts and physical education are not extras — they are essential pathways for young people to build confidence, creativity, and leadership. These are the spaces where students practice collaboration, discover their talents, and develop skills that prepare them for school, careers, and life.
This summer, YDC’s Summer Haven program will bring tutoring, arts enrichment, and sports together in a safe, structured environment for Wilmington youth. To make this possible, we must raise $15,000 before summer begins. For 24 hours during DoMore24, you can help power a summer filled with learning, creativity, and opportunity.

Community Education Building's NEW Youth Development Center (YDC) anchors the school day with a vibrant space for movement, fitness, and recreation — and extends CEB’s cradle-to-career model beyond school hours, because learning gaps, social pressures, and unmet needs don’t end at 3:00 PM.
A safe, structured place for sports, fitness, arts, and recreation during and after school.
Mentorship, life skills, and exposure to career pathways.
Access to wellness resources, social services, and trusted adults.
A positive environment that reduces risk and increases opportunity.
By design, the YDC closes opportunity gaps during the most vulnerable hours of the day.
