Delaware Children's Theatre

Delaware Children's Theatre (DCT) has been providing exceptional and affordable live family entertainment, performance opportunities and cultural enrichment in our community for over 50 years. We strive to preserve the tradition of family theatre started by our founder, Marie Swajeski, while also finding and developing fresh titles to share with our audience. Our overarching goal is to bring the magic of live music and theatre to children and families in the community, and to be a vibrant and relevant source of family-friendly arts engagement.

The Delaware Children's Theatre (DCT) is located in an historic building, built in 1892 and designed by Minerva Parker Nichols, the only woman that the 1889 Philadelphia architectural press acknowledged.

The DCT is the only non-profit community theatre in the Wilmington area devoted solely to bringing classic and original musical productions to children and families. Maintaining an historic building and keeping ticket prices affordable for families is a challenge. Please help support live musical theater for children!

We hope to continue bringing theatre magic for generations to come. We appreciate your support!
