The DSO is mid-way through our 119th Spotlight Season, featuring our four Music Director Finalists!

The remainder of our season includes two Classics Series (full-orchestra performances): The first of which will be performed in both Wilmington and Lewes (Di Russo Conducts Brahms) with Music Director Finalist Michelle Di Russo), and the other in Wilmington only (Amado Conducts Stravinsky) with Music Director Laureate David Amado).

Previously this season, we presented three Classics Series concerts with the first three Music Director Finalists — Brunet Conducts Tchaikovsky with Mélisse Brunet; Ciabatti Conducts Beethoven with Filippo Ciabatti; and Fukumura Conducts Dvořák with Taichi Fukumura, which also featured three guest artists: violinist Melissa White, cellist Tommy Mesa, and violinist Oliver Neubauer.

Our previous Musicians' Series  concerts (intimate performances of smaller musical ensembles) highlighted Wood & Waters with Pianist Lura Johnson; our signature Holidays at the Hotel performance at the Hotel du Pont Gold Ballroom; and Brass of the DSO, featuring both classical and Mardi Gras-themed works. We also hosted two Community Concerts at Christina Cultural Arts Center in Wilmington, which were free and open to the public.

In May, the DSO is hosting our Explorer Concert — an interactive educational performance entitled "The Compser is Dead" by Lemony Snicket — for school-age children in Wilmington and Dover.

Your support is pivotal to these and future programs, as we continue creating thrilling live musical experiences; developing educational outreach events and partnerships; and evolving conventional perception of what orchestral music is and can be!
