The DSO is mid-way through our 120th Season, brimming with all the energy and excitement of welcoming our new Music Director, Michelle Di Russo!

The remainder of our 2025-2026 season includes two Mainstage Series (full-orchestra performances). The first will be performed in Wilmington on March 20 (Across the Galaxy), and the second in both Wilmington and Lewes on April 24 and 26 (Flames of Renewal), featuring guest pianist Peter Dugan.

Previously this season, we presented three Mainstage concerts — Virtuosity Unleashed: A New Era (October 10); Beethoven and Blue Jeans (November 14 & 16); and most recently, Waltzing Through Winter (January 30). Each performance also featured three guest artists — pianist Fei-Fei, DSO Principal Flutist Kimberly Reighley, and violinist Chee-Yun, respectively.

This season, we presented two Musicians' Series  concerts (intimate performances of smaller musical ensembles) as well: Windswept Tales (October 28), an evening of seasonal music complemented by readings Delaware Shakespeare actors, and Brass Pipes, featuring a DSO brass & percussion ensemble accompanied by organ.

We also hosted two Community Concerts at Christina Cultural Arts Center and the Church of Saints Andrew & Matthew in Wilmington, both of which were free and open to the public.

Our signature Holidays at the Hotel performance was held on December 9 at the Hotel du Pont Gold Ballroom. This year, we launched a family-friendly holiday concert on November 30 called Jingle Bell Jamboree that was extremely well received by the greater community.

In May, the DSO is again hosting our Explorer Concert — an interactive educational performance for school-age children — with performances in at The Grand Wilmington and Dover High School in Dover.

Your support is critical to these and future programs, as we continue creating thrilling live musical experiences; developing educational outreach events and partnerships; and evolving conventional perception of what orchestral music is and can be!

Please consider supporting our efforts with a gift during Do More 24!
