YWCA Delaware leads critical social change and advocates for women, girls and their families by offering emergency, transitional, and affordable housing, sexual assault and domestic violence support services, economic empowerment, racial and social justice advocacy, and youth development programming to nearly 9,000 Delawareans a year.
In 2022:
393 Individuals found emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental assistance, and refuge at our Home-Life Management Center (HLMC) & Community Housing Program.
473 Youth were empowered to maximize their personal and educational potential for an accomplished future through our Youth Development Program.
483 Individuals were trained in personal finance management, homeownership, work-readiness, and self-employment to improve financial literacy and income stability through our Center for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP).
1,635 Community members developed awareness, willingness, and tools to drive change in themselves and the institutions we all share through our Racial and Social Justice Programming.
5,802 Survivors accessed our Sexual Assault Response Center's (SARC) crisis hotline, aftercare case management, support groups, counseling, and safety planning.
