Organization Mission:

The First State Abortion Fund is a local, volunteer-powered program rooted in a reproductive justice framework, with the mission of breaking down financial barriers and increasing abortion access. Our fund provides financial assistance for the procedure itself and also offers practical support to help individuals get to their appointment with as minimal stress as possible.

The First State Abortion Fund is Delaware's first and only abortion fund. We are solely focused on ensuring that the existing financial barriers don't prevent people who need an abortion from getting one.

The average cost of an abortion in Delaware is $515 and right now, which is not accessible for many in our community, so today, we are asking you to give. Nobody should have to choose between buying groceries for their family and timely healthcare. Any amount is meaningful, but our average pledge to support our neighbors is $200. During Do More 24, we aim to raise at least $5,000 to help our patients get the care they seek. 

Remember: abortion is healthcare — and everyone deserves access to the care they need.
