Frantic Happens!

Frantic Music Project started out with co-founders Al and Mary "Frantic" (owners of the Milton-based music store, Frantic Frets) giving back and building a community around music. The Project was born during the height of the COVID Pandemic in early 2020. They began providing events that engaged the community and spearheaded a major fundraising effort to help a friend and fellow musician who was facing a very serious illness. The couple began opening their home in 2020 by offering outdoor house concerts and open mics during the pandemic and was welcomed by the community and musicians.

Having a strong sense of helping others, Al & Mary began laying the groundwork for a nonprofit organization that would help to provide struggling musicians in Delaware subsidized services, equipment, and programs. Through the generous support and belief of friends, Frantic Music Project came to fruition in 2022.

Music is so important to so many people, and musicians are the conduit bringing it to us. If you have been touched by music, now is your chance to give back to these talented musicians who share their gift of music with you.

With your help in 2022 Frantic Music Project was formed as a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your generous support has accomplished the following:
  • Hosted the 3rd annual HavrillaPalooza - a dedicated fundraising event that has supported Christine Havrilla and the Tunnel Cancer Center.
  • Provided professional support, strings, and repairs to local musicians who had been out of work and were working hard to recover from the loss of work from the pandemic. With gear ready to go, the artists were able to once again secure steady, paying gigs.
  • Donated instruments for music programs that will help to enrich the lives of students that will benefit from musical therapy.
  • Hosts regular open mic programs to foster and encourage budding musicians of all ages in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Advocate for musicians

In 2023, Frantic Music Project will continue to help more musicians wishing to choose music as a career path. In addition to supporting working artists, we hope to establish a scholarship program and a catastrophic relief fund. This can only be made possible with your help. During Delaware DoMore24 we hope you will consider making a small contribution to Frantic Music so that together we can help more musicians live their best lives.

Thank you for your continued support of our music community.

Al & Mary
