I’m Emily Margevich.
I’m fundraising for
OperaDelaware.
Help OperaDelaware raise money for our Music Education Program! I have had the privilege of taking opera into so many schools in Delaware, and your help today will allow me to continue sharing music to everyone in our great state! Having fun and loving access to music and the performing arts as a child made me the person and performer I am today. No question, no exaggeration!
When I visit schools sharing opera, the success is immediate and I am inspired like nothing else. I work very improvisational with the students, wherever the moment takes us! There is so much we could give to our community if we had ample support for our education programming.
I am currently working to present a tuition free Summer Musical for OperaDelaware for any student in the state who wants to be included! Think community theatre for kids but rock opera! There is nothing like experiencing and sharing music through the joy of a child, and if you can please help OD today by giving to my passion project of Music Education, you will personally be gifting eager children the invitation to realize that opera can be and is for them, too.

By recognizing and leveraging the unique skill sets of artists—including creativity, passion, and adaptability—we are redefining what it means to work in the arts while fortifying our company’s operational strength.
Our Company Artist Model has received impressive recognition both regionally and nationally. OperaDelaware was one of three finalists in the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation’s 2024 Reinventing Delaware competition with the Company Artist Model. This achievement highlights the urgency of addressing the employment struggles of professional artists, with over 95% of them working outside their discipline due to the unstable nature of the freelance economy. Together, we can lead the way toward a brighter, more sustainable future for artists in the United States.
