LCS is committed to addressing the critical food and housing insecurity issues affecting many in Delaware. Through our innovative Food in Medicine initiative, in partnership with ChristianaCare, we offer vital, nutritious foods to those battling health conditions like diabetes. Additionally, we collaborate with the Delaware Quitline on smoking cessation efforts and have launched school-based pantries to provide immediate assistance to families in need. Our work with the HOSS program further broadens our services, encompassing housing assistance and financial counseling, laying the groundwork for lasting empowerment.

Emergency Financial Assistance:  As a key partner of the HOSS Program, we offer vital assistance to Delaware renters, including rental aid, food assistance/SNAP referrals, legal aid, job fairs, and financial counseling. Designed for immediate support and long-term stability, the HOSS Program helps residents navigate challenges and build a secure future

Food Pantries: We believe in the power of healthy and nutritious food to change lives. Our network includes 3 stationary pantries and 11 monthly and senior community food distributions, ensuring access to quality food for families across Delaware.

Health Services: Our Delaware Food Farmacy is at the forefront of integrating nutrition into healthcare, delivering prescribed food in partnership with ChristianaCare. Similarly, the Nemours sickle cell anemia program adopts our innovative approach, enhancing patient care. Additionally, as the pharmacy benefits manager for the Delaware Quitline, we provide smoking cessation counseling and free nicotine reduction products, supporting individuals on their journey to quit smoking.
