Do More 24 - Martha's Friends and Family

A fundraiser for Milford Advocacy for the Homeless

$125 raised from 2 donors

$1,000 goal

I’m Marths Gery .

I’m fundraising for Milford Advocacy for the Homeless.

To my family and friends, you know my passion to help those who are vulnerable, especially those who are experiencing homelessness, and mental illness.

Most of you knew my brother, you knew of his homelessness which led to his mental instability and how he dug himself out of that and recaptured his life after he moved to Delaware. Although my brother has passed, his legacy lives on. He brought joy to many people and helped everyone he could.

If he were here today he would be helping me raise money to help others in need. So I'm asking you during this 24 hours of give till 6:00 p.m. tomorrow night, that's Friday night. Please consider donating towards the work that we do here at Milford Advocacy for the homeless way.

No donation is too small. $5 donation can provide a dinner to someone who can't afford it. $40 can help them get their ID back. $20 can buy a membership to the senior center so that our seniors who experiencing homelessness have mental stability and socialization. $30 can help someone who is working and is not making enough to live on to get their laundry done. So as you can see there is no amount that's too small.

If you have a fun for giving, I asked asked you if you would please look at it and see if there's space to give a donation to MAH. During this time of giving, it makes an even higher impact than normal because there are organizations out there who are offering to match donations, provide bonuses based on the donations and also it helps us solidify our budget for the year.

Many of you have previously helped and continue to help. For that, I'm very grateful. For those of you who may never have given, but have the means to give, I hope that you will consider it today.

It's because of your generosity and the generosity of the communities that we are able to do what we do. For that, there are no words except gratefulness that can convey the love you extend to me and to those in need by your gift today.

Thank you
