Help Bring More Hands-On Garden Learning to North Georgetown Elementary! Support environmental education and help students grow! 🌱

At North Georgetown Elementary, students are getting their hands dirty in the SNAC (School Nutrition Agri-Culture) Garden, where they learn about science, nature, and healthy eating through hands-on experiences. Our garden is an outdoor classroom that connects kids to where their food comes from, teaches them about plant life cycles, and inspires a love for nature.

We’re raising $500 to expand and enhance the garden experience for our students!

Why This Matters

Each week, students at North Georgetown Elementary step outside the traditional classroom and into the garden to:
  • Explore the magic of growing their own food
  • Learn about soil health, composting, and plant cycles
  • Discover the importance of fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Engage in STEM-based, hands-on lessons in nature

For many students, the SNAC Garden is a place where they can explore, grow, and taste fresh food firsthand—and your support will help enrich these experiences for every child in the program!

Our Goal: $500

Your donation will help provide essential supplies and hands-on learning experiences, including:
  • $5 – Buys seeds and soil for students to plant and nurture
  • $10 – Provides tools for kids to explore and learn in the garden
  • $20 – Supports a full class lesson with a garden educator
  • $50+ – Helps maintain and expand the garden for future students

How You Can Help

By contributing to this fundraiser, you're helping North Georgetown Elementary students gain real-world science and environmental knowledge, develop healthy eating habits, and build a lifelong connection to nature!

About SNAC Garden Foundation

Mission: to enrich communities through cultivating meaningful relationships to nature, food, and personal well-being.

The SNAC (School Nutrition Agri-Culture) Garden Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming schoolyards into vibrant outdoor classrooms where students of all backgrounds can engage in hands-on environmental STEM education, health education, and ecological stewardship.

Through weekly garden-based lessons, we provide over 2,500 students at Longneck Elementary, North Georgetown Elementary,  Georgetown Middle School, and Howard T. Ennis with meaningful opportunities to connect with nature, grow their own food, and develop lifelong healthy habits. Our trained garden educators lead lessons on topics such as soil health, plant life cycles, sustainable agriculture, and nutrition—ensuring every child has access to outdoor learning experiences.

By integrating gardening with science, history, and mindfulness, we empower students to become environmental stewards and cultivate a deeper connection to their communities.
